BECOME A MEMBER

Interested in becoming a member of the University of Ottawa Circle K Club? Want to lend a helping hand? Being a member is easy; simply contact us by e-mail or show up at one of our upcoming meetings. You can even bring a friend or two who may be interested in joining the club as well.

To become a member please contact our e-mail address: info@circlekclub.com and we will be glad to provide you will specific information regarding membership for this club.

Or, better yet, just drop by one of our group meetings that are scheduled TBA of each month (Winter 2010 semester). Below is some information about our next meeting date/time/location.

Date: TBA, 2010
Time: TBA
Location: TBA, (University of Ottawa)

Membership:
There is a fee of $10.00 for dues that will cover your membership for the entire year. This fee are for those who would like to become official and certified members. You have to pay this fee to have access to some areas of the Kiwanis web site, to apply for scholarships, and other things of that sort. In addition, this is required for anyone who is interested in obtaining a CCR, being an official member of the club, or attending Kiwanis meetings. If finances are an issue, let us know and arrangements can be made.

  • They are due by TBA and can be paid by cash or cheque (payable to: "U of O CKI Club"). Payment can be dropped off at our club meetings or you can contact us to make other arrangements.

Co-Curricular Record:

  • Our faculty advisor, Jeff Keshen, has told us about the U of O Co-Curricular Record.
  • The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is an official university record of a student's volunteer activities undertaken both on and off-campus, and the skills acquired, so long as a minimum of 20 hours service is provided to an organization.
  • Basically, it would allow us to give more “professional” recognition to involved members.
  • If you'd like to register for a co-curricular record, and have (or will have by the end of the semester) contributed 20 hours of service to Circle K, email me with the events/projects you've helped with and I'll assign placements for you.
