WELCOME
You have reached the University of Ottawa Circle K Club website; a branch of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa.
Here's an overview of what we're about. We're a University-level community service club that is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa (who you may have heard of from Duck Race for CHEO or the Kiwanis Music Festival). U of O's club is very active and in addition to volunteering in the events of other organizations (for example the MS Society Walk), we also organize our own, such as the Heart of the City Piano Program which provides piano lessons to underprivilieged kids or a reading program at a school that has a high proportion of poverty as well as many families new to Canada. Moreover, in February 2006, the U of O and Carleton Circle K Clubs hosted the first annual Eastern Canada Division Convention which was a success! (Several committees including: registration committee, Saturday night events committee, program committee, finance committee; were formed).
If you would like to become involved in any of these projects, please e-mail us at info@circlekclub.com. We regularly send e-mails out about potential volunteer activities. Involvment in the club is voluntary; so you can help out as much as you can or as little as you'd like - there's no commitment just from joining, but hopefully you'll find that you enjoy volunteering for our events and will come out often!
Feel free to browse around this website for more information regarding this club and its involvement in the community!
